Drewslair.com
This website was started to showcase my interests including writing and personal computers. It became Drewslair.com in June 2000 and has been in continuous operation since. Starting in 2002, I refocused Drewslair.com on my technical and professional interests and started posting more technical resources. Since then, especially with the addition of the Microsoft Access for Beginners series, the site has been a resource for many people searching for information.
As you look around the site, you'll see articles and demo programs that I've made available free of charge. These represent time that I've spent researching, writing, proofing and testing so as to demonstrate my knowledge in a way that helps everyone. I take pride in the work and it's a great feeling to have posted a well-written article or program. It's even better when I can look at it months later and still see quality there. This makes the time and energy worth it.
Andrew Comeau
I studied Accounting in college but, even then, I was more interested in programming than ledgers. I'd spend hours in the afternoons seeing what I could do with the old IBM PC clones that we had to work with in the late 80s. I got some use out of the Accounting diploma but continued to learn more about computers over the years and gradually became known for my skills in that area. By 2004, I'd worked my way into the I.T. field and now work as a computer programmer.
When I'm not at work, I'm generally doing something on my computer at home. I know, it sounds a bit fanatical but there it is. Aside from working on this site, I also enjoy my collection of DVDs, reading, the occasional bit of cooking and a wide selection of music including everything from ELO to Loreena McKennitt.
